There are several online stores that sell prescription glasses for adults and children. The key is learning how to buy your glasses.

Lessons in Buying Prescription Glasses Online

• Visit your eye doctor and get your prescription. If you recently had an exam, ask for a copy of your prescription.

• Try on glasses or use your old pair and jot down the numbers inside the arm of the glasses. You should see numbers similar to 16 to 50 (16 is the bridge size above the nose and 50 is the frame width).

• You will need to ask the doctor for the Pupilary Distance (distance between the pupils, or measure yourself).

• A few online stores have some wonderful features that allow you to upload your photo and “try on” your glasses before you buy them. This can help you see what you’ll look like before making your purchase.
